Safety device inspection: a line of defense to protect life

10 Oct,2025

The safety devices on the excavator, such as cab ROPS (roll-over prevention) structure, seat belts, rearview cameras, audible and visual alarms, emergency stop switches, etc., are the last line of defense to protect the operator's life safety. These devices must remain 100% effective at all times, and any oversight could lead to tragedy.
Operators should develop the habit of daily inspections: test whether the alarm and lights are normal; check that the camera view is clear and unobstructed; confirm that the seat belt buckle is effective; observe whether the ROPS structure is deformed and cracked. Managers need to organize special safety inspections regularly (such as monthly) and keep records.
Safety investment is the least economical investment. Ensuring that every safety device is intact is not only compliance with laws and regulations, but also a reflection of corporate social responsibility. In the face of an accident, an effective seat belt or a strong ROPS column is worth far more than anything else. Safety and maintenance are more important than Mount Tai.
